Google Nexus One Mobile Phone

Google launched its smart phone called the Nexus One, with huge expectations.

The Nexus One mobile phone is a slim, touchscreen phone built in partnership with Taiwanese manufacturer HTC and runs Google's Android operating system.

Direct from Google it will cost $529 (£331) and on contract with T-Mobile $179 (£112). Google said the phone would ship from launch day.

It will be sold via Google's website and initially be available on T-mobile in America followed by Vodafone in Europe and Verizon in the US.

Mario Queiroz, Google vice president for product management, described the launch as "the next stage in the evolution of Android".

Mr Queiroz said there were now more than 20 Android phones available from 59 carriers in 48 nations.

The release of the Nexus One is seen as a move to ensure Google remains relevant as people search the web using mobile phones rather than typing queries into a PC.

Google has set up its own phone portal through which people can get a handset tied to one of several mobile operators or untethered direct from the search firm.

Figures from Gartner suggest that Android has about a 3.5% share of the global smartphone market. By comparison Nokia has a 39% share and Apple 17%.

Google also announced on 5 January a plan to launch "pay to call" adverts that would appear on mobile phones. These would work in a similar way to the "pay to click" adverts that populate many websites and which form a significant chunk of Google's revenue.

Hey Guys, You you ever wondered how to use the Internet of your computer on your mobile as well or say connecting the Internet via a bluetooth, here is the procedure which you need to do to achieve this:

Basic Requirements:

A PC with internet connection
A bluetooth adapter with the drivers installed
M-Router
Gnubox for N70

*Make Sure Your Bluetooth is working

Configuring m-Router:

-Start Install the m-Router and complete it.
-Now open the m-Router and click on Advanced Settings
-Click on the View button under Additional COM Ports
-Select the COM Port used by your Bluetooth device and click on
-Click OK after setting it
-Look for Additional COM Ports under connectivity methods and expand it to make sure your COM port is there.Then Click Close

Gnubox for N70 Configuration:

-Install Gnubox on Your N70
-Go to Tools -> Settings -> Connection -> Access points -> Go to Options -> New access point -> Use default settings->Change the connection name to Bt then save it.
-Run Gnubox and go to Options -> Install -> Create Records
-there will be something like this *ISP ‘Bt’ not found* and you must exit ur Gnubox.
-Run Again Gnubox and Go to Options -> 2box Bluetooth -> Serial port (The phone will search for Bluetooth devices, select you PC and click OK)
-Go to Options -> Install -> change default AP to set Bt as your default Access Point
-Then go to Options -> Debug -> Bring up IF (Sometimes Stuck)
-Then the phone will connected to your pc and show a message saying “Connection Open”

Now you can browse the Internet on your mobile from your computer. You can use it with Opera mini as well.

Well, if you thought the latest release of Nokia, the N97 phone is just another smart phone, then you might be up for a big shock!

The rumor about a new version of Samsung Omnia is doing rounds these days.

This version would possibly be named as Samsung Omnia PRO.

Highlights:

The Samsung Omnia Pro is said will run on Windows Mobile 6.1.
There will be a sliding QWERTY keyboard. Omnia PRO will have a 3.5-inch WVGA touch screen, using AMOLED display and a 5 megapixel camera.
Sources also say that this would be upgradable to Windows Mobile 6.5.
CPU would be the same 624MHz in the original Omnia.
The Samsung Omnia Pro is expected to be released “during summers probably the month of July
Estimated and expected price would be around €500 /$658.

Samsung recently announced the launch of its latest full touchscreen mobile phone, the Samsung S8300 UltraTouch mobile phone which is equipped with a full screen touch screen and it features 16M colors display, integrated 8.0 Megapixel camera with 4x digital zoom and video recording, microSD memory slot, GPRS, EDGE, 3G functionality, FM Radio with RDS, MP3 Media Player and built-in GPS receiver.

The new Samsung S8300 Touchscreen mobile phone offers sensitive screen that allows access to all the features of the handset in easy and effortless manner. This sleek phone is the quite slim at just 12.7 mm.

All inputs are done using the full-screen touch-sensitive display, powered by the Capacitive Touch Screen Technology which unlike more conventional touch-screens, has no sensors and rather is equipped with a special oxide layer on top of its screen, which reacts to touches of fingers. A stylus or any sharp pointed objects as data input would not work on this type of screen. All this means that typing up a short message would really be tough exercise on this.

The Samsung S8300 ultraTouch Touchscreen mobile phone comes with 80-MB of internal shared memory and it supports microSD memory card (upto 16-GB) with hot-swap functionality for external memory with virtually limitless storage capacity.

New Mobile Numbering Pattern in India From 2010 Onwards

If you thought that the availability of mobile numbers in India may become very tough, here is a good news for you! Most of the mobile number series with 9 level (starting with ‘9’) have either exhausted or being pre-occupied by any other services. 95 series in India was being reserved for landline customers, using which a landline customer can make STD calls without dialing ‘0’ instead fixing 95 before the number.

But keeping in mind the huge requirements of mobile numbers, recently, TRAI instructed to shut down 95 series for landline customer so that it may use those series as well for mobile numbering. There were even rumors that, hence forth any mobile service provider in India will not be provided any specific numbering series. As of now TATA has 92, Reliance CDMA-93, and BSNL-94) and may even use the vacant series with these operators in the future.

There was another announcement that, TRAI may soon increase a digit in Indian mobile numbers, it means the present 10 digit mobile numbers may get an extra digit totaling to 11.

Soon, you may have new mobile numbering pattern and numbers that are 11 digits long!!!
